ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation spring Academic Honor Roll, which notes academic excellence by student-athletes, contains 515 honorees as announced by Executive Director Ken Andrews.
The Honor Roll comprises those student-athletes of sophomore class standing or higher who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 (4.00 scale) or higher and completed the playing season in good standing.
Messiah led in selections with 70 student-athletes, followed by Elizabethtown with 49. Misericordia was third with 42 and King’s was fourth with 39 student-athletes. Lebanon Valley was fifth with 38, while Manhattanville, Widener and Eastern tied for sixth with 32 student-athletes on the list. Lycoming was ninth with 29 student-athletes. Arcadia and FDU-Florham tied for tenth with 25. DeSales and Wilkes each had 24, followed by Albright (22), Delaware Valley (20) and Alvernia (13).
Featured on the spring honor roll are several standouts including Commonwealth baseball Player of the Year Adam Sheibley from Elizabethtown, Commonwealth Conference softball Player of the Year Lindsay Hall of Messiah, Freedom Conference softball Player of the Year Gina Stefanelli of Wilkes and Freedom Conference softball Pitcher of the Year Lindsey Hoerner of King’s.
Also featured on the honor roll is Commonwealth Conference women’s tennis Player of the Year, Sarah Grodzinski of Lebanon Valley and Commonwealth Conference men’s tennis Player of the Year Jansen Hein of Messiah.
Student-athletes are selected from baseball, softball, men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, men’s track and field, women’s track and field, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and golf.
Academic Honor Roll
